Anti-venom, sometimes called antivenom, venom antidote, or antitoxin is a generic remedy for poisoning that is composed of an immune system -specifically made antibodies. It's used primarily to cure certain venoms and insect bites resulting from toxins. Antivirals are typically recommended only if a high perceived risk of toxicity or serious toxicity exists.
