However, the United States imports of fresh-cut flowers decreased by 6.40% from US$ 1.14 billion to US$ 1.07 billion through the first ten months of 2020. In most countries, cut flowers are a local crop due to their perishable nature.

The most common packaging formats are metal stand, bags, wrapping sheets, boxes & cartons, and sleeves. However, the method of packing depends on crop, flower, method of transport, and market.
