Flexographic Printing Inks is an innovative type of printing method that uses a pressure-sensitive relief plate to print on virtually any kind of surface. It is basically a modern version of traditional letterpress, improved with high-pressure rotary performance, which is now used for printing onto any kind of substrates, such as thin-set paper, synthetic plastic, wood, and even metal. The technology was originally developed and introduced by the printing industry itself. But now flexographic inks have been adopted by graphic artists and printers worldwide for applications ranging from product label printing, full-color sticker printing, temporary tattoos, vinyl stickers, decals, booklets, brochures, folders, flyers, and more.

It can be printed on any kind of substrates, including glass, ceramic, metal, marble, wood, fiberglass, paper, plastic, or fabric, using different types of ink inks. These ink solutions are usually dried over a period of time, usually between five to eight weeks, depending upon the application needs of the customer

Flexographic printing inks have the ability to produce top-quality images with extreme resolution and vivid color reproduction. This method is used to print directly onto a wide range of substrates, including metal, wood, marble, glass, fiberglass, paper, plastic, or fabric. Some of the best examples of flexographic printing inks include dye sublimation inks, enamel paint inks, metallic inks, and specialty inks.

There are basically two kinds of printing inks available in the market: water-based ink and oil-based ink. Water-based ink comes in either solid colors or shades. This type of ink offers a good value for the money, as it is easily available at retail shops and convenience stores. On the other hand, oil-based products cost more. But they offer exceptional quality and they have a longer shelf life.
