Renewable Methanol is Witnessing Massive Demand for its Applications in Bio Fuels and Scientific Research and Development
Renewable Methanol is a compound that can be used as an alternative fuel for diesel cars. Methanol is produced from agricultural waste materials such as grain, which can also be used to make ethanol. In fact, there are millions of tons of grain waste that could be used to produce Methanol which is then used to make biodiesel or other engine parts and fuels that we need. This is a much better solution than burning fossil fuels that contribute to air pollution and climate change. The global renewable methanol industry is estimated to witness a significant overhaul in the coming years.
One of the reasons why the global economy will undergo a significant change is due to growing concerns related to the pollution caused by the burning of fossil fuels and carbon dioxide. Furthermore, there are also plans to use these kinds of fuels for military applications such as aircraft engines and marine applications such as turbines for power generation. R&D activities continue in the field of renewable methanol globally, including the U.S., Italy, and the U.K. Recently, a team of researchers from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Molecular Foundry synthesized nanomaterials that support enhanced and stabilized hydrogen production from methanol.
